It’s hard to believe that Kaiserdisco‘s label KD Music is just over a year old. Since the first release in late 2011 Frederic and Patrick have quickly built a reputation for releasing some of the most forward thinking techno you will hear. Whilst using the label as a platform to release their own music they have also pushed very exciting artists such as Hollen, Arjun Vagale and Alex Costa into the limelight. The latest release on the label is the second instalment of their Kaiserdisco presents KD Music compilation series.
The compilation is a mixture of tracks from KD music roster artists, friends of the label and tracks that have been sent into the label for consideration. All the tracks have been tried and tested by the guys themselves and you can hear the full track listing in a continuous Kaiserdisco DJ mix that is available to purchase with the package. We highly recommend you check the mix out!!
So as usual we struggled to pick one track from the compilation so we chose two!
Our first pick comes from Mladen Tomic with his remix of Arjun Vagale & Tim Richard‘s track ‘Tonkatsu’. Its a huge techno groover with an infectious bassline that we are just dying to hear out on a big system! See if you agree!…..
Our second choice comes from the main men themselves, Kaiserdisco with their retouch of Betoko – Before I Lose Control. This is a little deeper than we usually go at NOYZ but this track more than warrants it, a timeless record that should get you in the mood for the weekend ahead!

As always please support the label and artist and share the music!
We always look forward to new music from Bart, his tracks have an extremely defined and unique sound that always cause mayhem in the clubs. We have witnessed this many times and we are pleased to say these two latest tracks continue this theme, both tracks are full of weight, power and most importantly groove! The drums and bass are almost welded together to create a wall of sound in the low end that really needs to be heard on a huge sound system to be appreciated to the fullest. We can certainly see why Bart has established himself as one of the biggest Techno DJ’s in Holland, his club night Voltt in Amsterdam has built up a huge following and we have heard great things about his ‘Voltt Loves Summer’ outdoor festival which is located on an old shipyard with 15,000 ravers going crazy! Sounds like our kind of party!
As always Gregor Tresher knows how to spot a big record and Break New Soil seems to be pushing the boundaries and really promoting a future techno sound that involves young and exciting new talent. The release schedule for Break New Soil seems to be about quality over quantity with each record coming out on the label of a consistently high standard. We love the artwork too!
We thought we would spoil you to two tracks today so check out the full E.P below!…..

Another killer release from SCI+TEC and this time Mr Bizz are at the helm to deliver a huge slice of peak time techno with this track Memory Lost.
Brothers Fabrizio and Matteo Floris aka Mr. Bizz have established themselves as certified bomb makers amongst many of the techno elite. They have gathered support from Richie Hawtin, Sian and Dubfire to name a few and its not hard to see why when you listen to their dark and twisted take on techno. They have created a unique and trademark sound that has found a home with many of the most respected labels including Octopus, Suara and now they arrive on SCI+TEC for their debut release on the label.
Memory Lost is the third track on the Reversion E.P that was released this week. We received the promo a couple of weeks ago and whilst all three tracks are solid it is this track that really stood out for us and will be a regular in our sets for a while to come! The track is laced with a constant atmosphere that sits above the dark and chunky drums creating an air of tension throughout. It really gets going when the dark percussive synth stabs enter the fray to take the track into an even darker and more hypnotic territory.
Check out the track below.

It’s Friday and that can only mean one thing!…..Techno Time!
So the release of our WHYT NOYZ – Homewurk E.P on Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC label is just around the corner! The full release comes out on the 27th February on Vinyl and 28th February on Beatport.
To say we are excited is an understatement, we got that excited that David decided to create a video to go with Homewurk! David finished his degree in Visual Communication last year and so we thought it would be nice to put it to use! We plan on using these types of visuals in our shows in the future so would be great to get your feedback!
You can check out the video below and please share it and let us know what you think!
Adam Beyer‘s label Drumcode released the second instalment of the Swedish Silver compilation series today. There has a been a huge amount of anticipation for this release and we can see why. It really showcases how much techno talent Sweden has produced and is a fine testament to what Adam Beyer has built with the label. Compilations can often be tricky, sometimes you get the sense of filler tracks that just make up the numbers but there is no sign of that here with 8 solid peak time bombs that all deliver and pack a serious punch. You only have to look at the names involved to have an idea of the quality to expect but as soon as you start to listen to the selection you will hear any expectations you had are reached and then some!
It’s very difficult for us to pick one particular track from this bunch but if pushed we would have to opt for the lead track by Stockholm based Mikael Jonasson titled “Benefit Of The Doubt”. It’s an intense track that bursts with energy whilst constantly building and maintaining an air of tension that really had us hooked on the first listen. The clever melodic bleeps swirl over a dark soaring bass that just smacks in all the right places. The drums are very tight and we love the off beat snares that hit hard and help keep the track grooving through the various sections.
See if you agree with our choice by checking out clips of the whole compilation on the Drumcode Soundcloud below.
The compilation is available to buy on Beatport now. Just click here

Tech House groover and fan favourite, Germán Brigante has a style that is so simple in it’s delivery to the dance floor yet production wise is as intricate and technical as any record you can find out today. Since releasing his music from the start of 2010 the Spanish native has dabbled in the deeper side of House, as his sound developed his tracks became tougher and almost experimental at times.
Germán has had releases on some of the underground’s big hitters such as Trapez, Be As One, and Material. The latter of which hosts this latest release which is a five track EP called ‘Look It’s Me’. Germán touches base with some deep vocal sounds and contrasts that with emotion filled electronica track ‘In’, a brave thing to do on a five track EP. This goes to show how much confidence he has moving forward not simply sticking to genres’ common boundaries.
The track we have for you is a chuggy Tech House BOMB with live drums and a sound that screams ‘New School’ through it’s inescapable groove and non stop energy!
KD Music has been responsible for some of our favourite releases here at NOYZ over the last 6 months. You may remember we featured Alex Costa’s massive Night Garden E.P on the label last year. If you missed it you can check it out here. The label seems to be really growing and also nurturing a lot of very talented up and coming producers who obviously take a lot of inspiration from the huge grooves of Kaiserdisco themselves.
Young Chilean producer Fabian has been steadily developing his sound and this release on KD Music really seems to signify him finding his style. We are looking forward to hearing what else he has in store to follow on from this release. We can’t find too much info on Altamirano but if this E.P is anything to go by we are sure you will be seeing and hearing more of these two producers very soon!.
Our pick of the three tracks on the E.P is the title track “Shake”. It has an infectious groove with plenty of well placed live drums that keep things interesting . The marimba style lead really works to build tension in the breakdown before the track comes in full force with a dark and dangerous bassline that really solidifies the groove. The vocal chops finish things off perfectly and it all just works to create one massive BOMB!

If you read these pages regularly you will be aware that we LOVE huge driving techno and so what better way to start the week off than this incredible E.P from Glaswegian Harvey McKay for Cocoon.
We are not alone in our admiration of Harvey. He has released music on respected labels such Soma, Saved, Drumcode and now returns to Cocoon for his first E.P release on the label. His first outing on Cocoon was in December of last year when his track “First Strike From Mars” was included on the awesome Dots & Pearls 2 compilation. We are always huge fans of the music coming from Cocoon but the releases just seem to be getting stronger and stronger at the moment. There is a lot of amazing music coming out on the underground and Cocoon are obviously playing a big part in making sure the music has the right platform!
Back to this release all 3 tracks on the E.P are monsters, perfectly crafted techno that just keeps driving and building energy. Harvey has a distinct style that you can hear throughout all of his productions but he still manages to stay creative and ensure his sound never gets tired. One thing that remains constant at all times is the high amount of energy and tension that flow through his tracks. There are always clever and unique ideas and he obviously puts a huge amount of time and effort into each track ensuring he maintains his usual high standard.
Check out some short clips of the E.P below.

We are very pleased to welcome Alex Costa for our third Podcast at NOYZ.
We are huge fans of Alex and his groove laden productions. He has released music on some of the biggest labels in underground electronic music including Octopus, Suara and Intacto whilst earning support from many of the key figures in Techno.
We are looking forward to an exclusive interview with Alex which will be posted this month so keep an eye out!
In the meantime enjoy this incredible podcast from the man himself!
There must be something in the water in Canada. Two of our favourite producers Carlo Lio and The Junkies hail from Toronto whilst Justin comes from the same place where it all began for Richie Hawtin, Windsor. It must be hard not to be inspired when one of your heroes has grown up on your doorstep and become one of the pioneers of electronic music and Justin has obviously fed off this inspiration and worked hard to create his own sound that to put it plainly ROCKS!. This hard work has paid huge dividends with both Richie Hawtin and Dubfire giving Justin’s tracks a massive amount of support over the last 12 months.
We are featuring the lead track from his E.P today titled “Shallow Dreamer”. The track is based around a very hypnotic percussive lead that keeps growing throughout the track but what really does it for us is that deep chugging bassline that whacks you straight in the chest. Very nice work! We know Justin has some very exciting projects lined up for 2013 so keep you eyes and ears peeled!
