WHYT NOYZ – They E.P (SCI+TEC)

It has been a crazy start to the year for us with our Minus release picking up support from the one and only Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show. The “Back To The Future E.P” received an incredible reaction and gave us a great feeling moving into the New Year.

We are really excited to release our first E.P of the year on Dubfire‘s label SCI+TEC. It was in February last year that we released our Homewurk E.P on his label so it feels great to be back 12 months later!

This time we have four tracks of driving techno which have received support from the likes of the label boss himself of course, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer and Carlo Lio to name a few. We are always a little reserved when reviewing our own tracks on the blog but please take a listen and let us know what you think….

You can purchase the full E.P on Beatport by clicking here

Thanks for the support!

31.1Justin James – Shallow Dreamer (SCI+TEC)

Justin James Shallow Dreamer Artwork NOYZ Audio

Our New Horizons buddy Justin James stepped up this week delivering his first E.P for Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC label.

There must be something in the water in Canada. Two of our favourite producers Carlo Lio and The Junkies hail from Toronto whilst Justin comes from the same place where it all began for Richie Hawtin, Windsor. It must be hard not to be inspired when one of your heroes has grown up on your doorstep and become one of the pioneers of electronic music and Justin has obviously fed off this inspiration and worked hard to create his own sound that to put it plainly ROCKS!. This hard work has paid huge dividends with both Richie Hawtin and Dubfire giving Justin’s tracks a massive amount of support over the last 12 months.

We are featuring the lead track from his E.P today titled “Shallow Dreamer”. The track is based around a very hypnotic percussive lead that keeps growing throughout the track but what really does it for us is that deep chugging bassline that whacks you straight in the chest. Very nice work! We know Justin has some very exciting projects lined up for 2013 so keep you eyes and ears peeled!

You can purchase the full E.P including some great DJ tools on Beatport by clicking here

Also we spoke to Justin and he tells us he is having a release party so if you are in the area click here for event details.

As always please support and share the music!

27.12A Transmission (Compilation mixed by Dubfire – SCI+TEC)

Who wants some Techno for Xmas? We do! We do!

Well Dubfire has delivered the goods right in time with this incredible compilation on his record label SCI+TEC.

SCI+TEC is home to some of our favourite artists here at NOYZ including Carlo Lio, The Junkies, SHADED and obviously Dubfire himself. The label has consistently discovered and developed new and exciting artists and helped them to reach their full potential. The music that we hear from the label is always pushing the boundaries and driving techno forward which is what Dubfire has always done in his own career as an artist.

The compilation spans across many genres and is a selection of both new unreleased music and some classics. Its a really interesting listen and gives you an insight into Dubfires music tastes outside of techno.

You can preview and purchase the complete compilation on Beatport by clicking here.

We couldn’t decide on one particular track as our favourite so we chose TWO! It is Xmas after all, well maybe Xmas has gone but we can drag it out a little further if it means more techno! Thats fair enough right?

Here is our first pick of the bunch from our New Horizons compadre Justin James. Justin is a very talented producer and has some huge releases planned for 2013 so keep your eyes and ears peeled. City Club is a dark stomper that just grooves and kicks in all the right places! Check it out below.

Here is our second selection from the one and only Carlo Lio. This track just has everything and the title is very fitting as it does literally keep grooving from start to finish. Relentless techno at its best and you really need to hear this in a club to appreciate how ridiculously good it is.

9.12NOYZ Podcast 002 – WHYT NOYZ

Hey Guys,

So we have been busy this weekend compiling the latest NOYZ Podcast.

It features many of the tracks that we have supported on the website over the last month. Included are tracks from Ron Costa, Carlo Lio, The Junkies, Coyu, Nick Olivetti and three of our own WHYT NOYZ tracks that we just finished in the last couple of weeks.

The podcast is downloadable. We would welcome your feedback as always!

14.11Secret Cinema vs Max D-Loved – Wow Cat (The Junkies Remix)

Today we deliver a slice of techno from two of our favourite producers – The Junkies

This remix which was released this week on Sian‘s Octopus Records has the trademark sound of The Junkies all over it. Like any track that is produced by these guys the low end of the track thumps hard, whilst the live drums and clever chopped vocals keep the track grooving along nicely. You have probably noticed how much love we have for a certain Carlo Lio and its really no surprise that Carlo and The Junkies are close friends. All are Toronto natives and have become label mates on Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC label.

The Junkies also have their own label Local Music which has seen some excellent releases and is growing rapidly. One of our favourite techno releases of this year, Ron Costa – La Cage Invisible was released on the label in January of this year with a remix from none other than Carlo Lio & The Junkies. Make sure you check it out if you love stomping techno (which obviously you do as you are reading this website)

Right enough chat here is the remix in all its glory.

9.11Sebastian Radlmeier – Is It Me or Is It You? (Carlo Lio Remix)

One who needs no introduction, Carlo Lio

A pioneer of the new breed in techno music and one that combines his addictive loops and vocal licks with phat chunky grooves that you cannot escape. Toronto’s own techno prodigy has travelled the world making waves using his own productions and DJ skills giving music lovers of all kinds exactly what they want, AN AMAZING PARTY!!

We here at NOYZ find Carlo’s style is so fresh and groundbreaking, put it this way, you know when you are listening to a Carlo Lio track. Relentless, addictive, and powerful.

The track we are supplying you with today is a remix from the man himself.

Using his chunky drums, clever fx, and live sounding percussion against driving bass and hypnotic vocals means you can tick this one off, once again, under the BOMB category!!!

The original track is from Sebrok aka Sebastian Radlmeier, and is coming out on Oliver Huntemann‘s Ideal label which has seen some very strong releases recently, check out the preview here:

You can purchase the full release on Beatport in mid November and we will update this post with the buy links when its released.

As always guys please support and share the music!

8.11Santé – That Girl

Since Santé‘s first release in 2007 he has steadily established himself as one of the most promising talents in the underground. He has seen support from such heavyweights as Steve Lawler, Sven Väth, Carlo Lio and now his latest release titled “Do You Wanna” has dropped on Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich‘s label Desolat.

It was actually very difficult to pick one track from this 5 track E.P but in the end we kept going back to “That Girl”. The track just flows perfectly and I challenge you to sit still whilst listening to it. It’s just a straight up groover. Make sure to check the rest of the E.P as all tracks are equally as solid in our opinion.

You can listen to and buy the rest of the E.P by clicking here

BONUS

Still one of our favourite Carlo Lio remixes and as its a remix of one of Santé‘s original tracks we thought it would be rude not to post it. BOMB!
