Ante Ujevic – Entheos (Matt Sassari Remix)
In our first post of 2013 we featured Matt Sassari‘s Whisper E.P and said how excited we were to hear more music from the young Frenchman. He has definitely continued to keep up to the same high standards that were set with the Whisper E.P and this latest remix on Potobolo is a fine example!
The remix is for Canadian Ante Ujevic‘s track ‘Entheos’. The original track is a great production in its own right and we will definitely be keeping an eye out for Ante’s future tracks but it’s the remix that really hits the spot for us. As usual with Matt Sassari’s tracks there is a dark atmosphere at work that really creates tension throughout. The vocal works really well and draws the breakdown out until the groove kicks in with a serious thump! You can hear Matt is heavily influenced by label boss Ron Costa.
Here is the remix,

We are still here guys! We have both been on well earned vacations but we are back and ready to provide you with new and most importantly AMAZING techno!
As you must have gathered we are very big fans of a certain Frenchman named Ron Costa and as I have just arrived back from Paris I thought it was only right I share his latest BOMB release. This time it’s a remix for the legendary Ron Carroll.
You will know what to expect by now. A solid but skippy groove, a growling low end and and an atmosphere that just draws you in and leaves you wanting more! Ron has used the vocal just enough to pay homage to the original but not step away from his usual style. We love the dark bass stab that acts as a hook throughout the remix. Ron really adheres to the phrase simple but effective. He always uses a minimal amount of elements but they all work in harmony with each other. There is an art to that form of production and he has certainly mastered it! Enough talk, here is the remix!

Ron Costa – Berlidof & Oslo Museum E.P (SCI+TEC)
Ron Costa makes his debut on Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC with this huge E.P.
We have featured many of Rons tracks here at NOYZ and have written about how highly we regard his production. It seems the majority of the techno community agree with us and he is starting to receive the support and recognition that he deserves.
We are really pleased to see him release on SCI+TEC. His raw and atmospheric grooves suit the label perfectly. We are in awe of the low end thump that he manages to create in every track and he definitely has a signature swing that is present throughout all of his tracks.
Both tracks on the E.P are absolute bombs so it seems rude to post only one. After all more techno is good right? Especially when its Ron Costa techno!

As the dust settles from a crazy New Years Eve we start to look forward to a new year full of joy, happiness and most importantly TECHNO.
And we hope all of the music that we post on NOYZ this year is up to the standard set by Matt Sassari with his latest release on Ron Costa‘s Potobolo Records.
Its a very strong two track release from Matt but it was the lead track “Whisper 8″ that really caught our attention. It has a dark atmosphere that runs throughout the track creating a constant tension that leaves you gripped with anticipation. The subtle synth lines that come in and out sporadically really give the track an evil twist whilst the live drums sit in the perfect place to form a tight and hypnotic groove.
We are excited to hear more music from Matt this year. Like Ron Costa, Matt is also French hailing from Marseille. Ron Costa has spotted his obvious talent and is giving him a platform to develop and release his music via his label Potobolo which is releasing some incredible music at the moment. At the young age of 20 we are sure that Matt has a very bright future ahead so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

Well we had an amazing holiday break playing two shows at The Rainbow in Digbeth and going to see Dubfire smash Egg in London to pieces. Standing behind him as he dropped our track Homewurk to that crazy crowd was an incredible feeling and has given us even more inspiration to push forward with our music in 2013. Watch the video of how the crowd reacted to Homewurk by clicking here
We thought we should start the new year with a selection of 10 of of our top tracks from 2012.
So here goes!….
1. The Junkies – Werq This
2. Ron Costa – Seevers
3. Clio – Into The Disco
4. Dubfire – Slowburn
So we have been busy this weekend compiling the latest NOYZ Podcast.
It features many of the tracks that we have supported on the website over the last month. Included are tracks from Ron Costa, Carlo Lio, The Junkies, Coyu, Nick Olivetti and three of our own WHYT NOYZ tracks that we just finished in the last couple of weeks.
The podcast is downloadable. We would welcome your feedback as always!

We get just a little excited when we see a new release from The Junkies record label Local Music Group. Why is that? Well take a listen to the back catalogue that is full of straight up BOMBS and you will understand.
The latest release on the label is the second instalment of the Strange Neighbours compilation series. We supported many of the tracks from Volume 1 of the series which was released last July and so we knew what to expect from Volume 2. To say it has delivered would be an understatement. Its a compilation full of forward thinking techno that packs a serious punch. The tracks all have a serious groove to them whilst retaining that flowing energy that seems to be present across the majority of the releases on the label.
Whilst all tracks stand up we really felt this little gem from Spanish producer Fer BR stood out. We have been very impressed with Fer BR. After following his releases throughout the year we could hear his sound developing and then his E.P release on our favourite Frenchman Ron Costa‘s Potobolo Records in October really stepped things up a gear. This track for Local titled “Welcome To Rawland” follows on from his Potobolo release perfectly and has left us eager to hear what else is in store from this young producer. Its a solid slice of Techno just how we love it, groovy, skippy, dark, you know the drill!
Anyway enough chat, onto the music.
The full compilation will be released on December 10th and you can check out the other tracks on the Local Music Group Soundcloud page by clicking here.
