The last few months have been special for us, A crazy reaction to our SCI+TEC E.P and some really great gigs. We have some really exciting news coming very soon but in the meantime check out our latest E.P on Christian Smith‘s label Tronic.
We have always been huge fans of Tronic and are often supporting the labels releases in our sets so when Christian invited us to write an E.P for him we gladly obliged. We wanted to create an E.P that was full of peak time techno weapons and hopefully we have managed that! The tracks have had great reactions in our sets and we have received awesome feedback from the likes of Adam Beyer, Kaiserdisco and Sian amongst others!
Enough talking, TECHNO time!!!!

It has been a crazy start to the year for us with our Minus release picking up support from the one and only Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show. The “Back To The Future E.P” received an incredible reaction and gave us a great feeling moving into the New Year.
We are really excited to release our first E.P of the year on Dubfire‘s label SCI+TEC. It was in February last year that we released our Homewurk E.P on his label so it feels great to be back 12 months later!
This time we have four tracks of driving techno which have received support from the likes of the label boss himself of course, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer and Carlo Lio to name a few. We are always a little reserved when reviewing our own tracks on the blog but please take a listen and let us know what you think….

SCI+TEC return with yet another huge release and this time it’s Bosnian rising star Mladen Tomic at the helm. We have come to expect high quality releases from SCI+TEC but the music coming from the label seems to be getting stronger with each release. Many young producers look up to Dubfire and it’s a testament to his character that he recognises this and gives such a great platform for them to be able to showcase their music and talent. Dubfire has a great system of being able to test out many of the demos he gets sent for the label during his rigorous touring schedule. This allows his to see first hand which tracks are really working with the crowd which we are sure is playing a huge part in why SCI+TEC is so formidable as a label right now.
Mladen Tomic fits into the above category perfectly. Dubfire has been a long time supporter of Mladen’s music and so it was just a matter or time before Ali picked up an E.P for SCI+TEC. It was definitely worth the wait and we feel this is without doubt some of Mladen’s strongest work to date! He has been steadily building a solid fan base over the last few years with an array of impressive releases on labels such as Octopus, Terminal M and of course his very own Night Light Records which he runs with his close friend and fellow Bosnian Sinisa Tamamovic. This feels like another step forward for Mladen and it’s great to see his hard work and determination paying off and we are looking forward to seeing him progress further!
Its rare for Ali to pick up 4 tracks for an E.P on the label but we can see how he would have had a hard time turning down any of the bombs on offer here. All 4 are perfectly crafted techno records that have Mladen’s signature groove all over them. We agree with Ali on the lead track though, Fittingly titled “First Choice” is an absolute monster, we dare you to try and sit still whilst listening to it!.
Check out First Choice below.

We have become accustomed to a constant supply of heavy peak time techno bombs from Sian‘s label Octopus and this latest release from New Yorker DJ Boris certainly sits in that category!
DJ Boris has become somewhat of a legend in techno circles and has held firmly to his roots bringing his unique style of big room electronic music to the U.S long before the EDM craze hit their shores. He has held residencies at the key spots in New York since 2004 including Crobar and Pacha and has since travelled the world picking up a vast and dedicated fan base in the process. We were really impressed by his recent release on SCI+TEC titled New Generation and his debut E.P for Octopus follows on from that perfectly keeping the standard equally as high.
Both tracks are extremely solid but its the lead track titled ’2 Me’ that is the one for us. It’s difficult to take a sample from a classic dance record and make it work and sound credible in an underground track but DJ Boris has nailed it to perfection. The beats are dark and ferocious and give the ideal platform for that huge bassline that just roars throughout the track. Definitely one for the big rooms! We won’t spoil the fun, see if you can guess where that sample is from!….

Another killer release from SCI+TEC and this time Mr Bizz are at the helm to deliver a huge slice of peak time techno with this track Memory Lost.
Brothers Fabrizio and Matteo Floris aka Mr. Bizz have established themselves as certified bomb makers amongst many of the techno elite. They have gathered support from Richie Hawtin, Sian and Dubfire to name a few and its not hard to see why when you listen to their dark and twisted take on techno. They have created a unique and trademark sound that has found a home with many of the most respected labels including Octopus, Suara and now they arrive on SCI+TEC for their debut release on the label.
Memory Lost is the third track on the Reversion E.P that was released this week. We received the promo a couple of weeks ago and whilst all three tracks are solid it is this track that really stood out for us and will be a regular in our sets for a while to come! The track is laced with a constant atmosphere that sits above the dark and chunky drums creating an air of tension throughout. It really gets going when the dark percussive synth stabs enter the fray to take the track into an even darker and more hypnotic territory.
Check out the track below.

It’s Friday and that can only mean one thing!…..Techno Time!
So the release of our WHYT NOYZ – Homewurk E.P on Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC label is just around the corner! The full release comes out on the 27th February on Vinyl and 28th February on Beatport.
To say we are excited is an understatement, we got that excited that David decided to create a video to go with Homewurk! David finished his degree in Visual Communication last year and so we thought it would be nice to put it to use! We plan on using these types of visuals in our shows in the future so would be great to get your feedback!
You can check out the video below and please share it and let us know what you think!
Sinisa Tamamovic is proving to be one of the most consistent producers in Techno. With a long list of admirers including Dubfire & Richie Hawtin, Sinisa has steadily honed his craft and created a unique stamp that consists of gigantic drums and even bigger bass. His tracks are made for the dancefloor and that is exactly where we want to go when we listen to the track we are featuring today titled “Trip To Jungle”.
In 2012 Sinisa released music on heavyweight labels such as SCI+TEC and Plus 8 but this release sees him return to his own label Night Light Records that he runs with his close friend and fellow Bosnian Mladen Tomic. Night Light is fast becoming one of the biggest labels in Techno and if you take a listen to the back catalogue you will hear why. Every release is consistently strong and these guys really have a solid brand and sound that they are developing with the imprint.
The release is a two track E.P. Both tracks are huge but its “Trip To Jungle” that is the one for us! Check it out below.

We have featured many of Rons tracks here at NOYZ and have written about how highly we regard his production. It seems the majority of the techno community agree with us and he is starting to receive the support and recognition that he deserves.
We are really pleased to see him release on SCI+TEC. His raw and atmospheric grooves suit the label perfectly. We are in awe of the low end thump that he manages to create in every track and he definitely has a signature swing that is present throughout all of his tracks.
Both tracks on the E.P are absolute bombs so it seems rude to post only one. After all more techno is good right? Especially when its Ron Costa techno!
You can stream both of the tracks below.

Well Dubfire has delivered the goods right in time with this incredible compilation on his record label SCI+TEC.
SCI+TEC is home to some of our favourite artists here at NOYZ including Carlo Lio, The Junkies, SHADED and obviously Dubfire himself. The label has consistently discovered and developed new and exciting artists and helped them to reach their full potential. The music that we hear from the label is always pushing the boundaries and driving techno forward which is what Dubfire has always done in his own career as an artist.
The compilation spans across many genres and is a selection of both new unreleased music and some classics. Its a really interesting listen and gives you an insight into Dubfires music tastes outside of techno.

We couldn’t decide on one particular track as our favourite so we chose TWO! It is Xmas after all, well maybe Xmas has gone but we can drag it out a little further if it means more techno! Thats fair enough right?
Here is our first pick of the bunch from our New Horizons compadre Justin James. Justin is a very talented producer and has some huge releases planned for 2013 so keep your eyes and ears peeled. City Club is a dark stomper that just grooves and kicks in all the right places! Check it out below.
Here is our second selection from the one and only Carlo Lio. This track just has everything and the title is very fitting as it does literally keep grooving from start to finish. Relentless techno at its best and you really need to hear this in a club to appreciate how ridiculously good it is.
