So after a crazy night in Glasgow on Saturday we have a great start to this new week with our latest E.P on Octopus Recordings Black Label.
It is a huge honour for us to be releasing music on Octopus, the labels owner Sian has long been an inspiration to us and to have his support is a great feeling. This E.P is being released on Octopus Black which is a new sub label set up by Sian for special edition releases. We spoke to Sian about the release and Octopus Black, he told us “basically the idea is to present it alongside the original Octopus as a more stripped down and afterhour feel. This release fits perfectly into that area, slightly dark, ghetto bass and watertight production. Something a little more for illegal techno party rather than established main room club” We look forward to seeing what else is in store for Octopus Black!
If releasing on one of our favourite labels wasn’t enough we have also been fortunate enough to have Pig & Dan on the package with a HUGE remix of SynthesiZe. We couldn’t be happier with how the mix turned out and it certainly raised a few smiles and fists when we dropped it at the weekend! Right, enough talk check out some short snippets of the three tracks below.

Octopus Recordings boss Sian steps back into the hot seat for the latest instalment of the labels well respected compilation series. The compilation features many tried and tested tracks that Sian has been hammering in his sets and features established artists like Sian himself, Luigi MadonnaKernel Key through to new exciting artists that he has been supporting such as Timmo and Miro Pajic. We are also fortunate enough to have two of our own WHYT NOYZ tracks included on the compilation and these set the tone for our E.P that will be released with Octopus in April.
The compilation will be released on Beatport on March 18th but in the meantime Octopus have released a continuous mix of the tracks by Sian that is available for free download.
The mix is a ferocious affair that represents the labels sound perfectly and gives you a unique insight into Sian’s style of mixing and track selection.

It’s Friday and that can only mean one thing!…..Techno Time!
So the release of our WHYT NOYZ – Homewurk E.P on Dubfire‘s SCI+TEC label is just around the corner! The full release comes out on the 27th February on Vinyl and 28th February on Beatport.
To say we are excited is an understatement, we got that excited that David decided to create a video to go with Homewurk! David finished his degree in Visual Communication last year and so we thought it would be nice to put it to use! We plan on using these types of visuals in our shows in the future so would be great to get your feedback!
You can check out the video below and please share it and let us know what you think!
If you read these pages regularly you will be aware that we LOVE huge driving techno and so what better way to start the week off than this incredible E.P from Glaswegian Harvey McKay for Cocoon.
We are not alone in our admiration of Harvey. He has released music on respected labels such Soma, Saved, Drumcode and now returns to Cocoon for his first E.P release on the label. His first outing on Cocoon was in December of last year when his track “First Strike From Mars” was included on the awesome Dots & Pearls 2 compilation. We are always huge fans of the music coming from Cocoon but the releases just seem to be getting stronger and stronger at the moment. There is a lot of amazing music coming out on the underground and Cocoon are obviously playing a big part in making sure the music has the right platform!
Back to this release all 3 tracks on the E.P are monsters, perfectly crafted techno that just keeps driving and building energy. Harvey has a distinct style that you can hear throughout all of his productions but he still manages to stay creative and ensure his sound never gets tired. One thing that remains constant at all times is the high amount of energy and tension that flow through his tracks. There are always clever and unique ideas and he obviously puts a huge amount of time and effort into each track ensuring he maintains his usual high standard.
Check out some short clips of the E.P below.

Its quite fitting that Harvey dropped this E.P today as we can also announce we will be supporting him at Pyramatrix in Glasgow on Saturday 13th April. Make sure you come and have a rave with us if you are in the area! We will be posting the full event details on our WHYT NOYZ page very soon so keep an eye out!.
Well we had an amazing holiday break playing two shows at The Rainbow in Digbeth and going to see Dubfire smash Egg in London to pieces. Standing behind him as he dropped our track Homewurk to that crazy crowd was an incredible feeling and has given us even more inspiration to push forward with our music in 2013. Watch the video of how the crowd reacted to Homewurk by clicking here
We thought we should start the new year with a selection of 10 of of our top tracks from 2012.
